"The grand vin was 85 Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, Merlot 10 and Petit Verdot 5....extremely high marks at the MW tasting. Perfect colour; nose developing sweetly and on the palate a soft entry and fragrant finish. At the second of Manfred Wagner's Margaux verticals, once again, it proved a foil to the '95, being different, with a touch of tar, spice and citrus fruit on the nose" M.B.
