拍品專文

The Käthe-Kollwitz-Museum, Berlin has confirmed the authenticity of this work.
This work is related to an etching of the same title excecuted in 1905 (von dem Knesebeck 86), which part of the Peasants' War cycle (1903-1908). There are three other versions of this subject: one is a smaller charcoal sketch and two are earlier compositions.
