We are grateful to Professor Miklós Boskovits who, on the basis of photographs, considers the pentaptych to be an interesting work by a Florentine painter of circa 1430-40, very close to Stefano d'Antonio (for whom see the recent article by Andrea Staderini, 'Primitivi fiorentini dalla collezione Artaud de Montor. Parte I: Lippo d'Andrea e Stefano d'Antonio', Arte Cristiana, XCII, 823, July-August 2004, pp. 259-66).
