According to the Archives of Gérald Genta, the present watch was sold in 2005. The dial is set with 155 black diamonds of approx. 0.66 carats and 228 white diamonds of approx. 0.94 carats, the case with 197 black diamonds of approx. 1.16 carats and 155 white diamonds of approx. 0.94 carats.

The Gérald Genta "Octo" (for octagonal) collection, launched in 2004, combines an architectural avant-garde case with a variety of technical complications, the movements entirely designed and produced by the manufacturer.

The model is distinguished by its massive octagonal case, available in different materials and with a diversity of dial designs.

Manufactured in 2005, the present watch is from the smaller series of the "Octo Biretro Jewellery" line, featuring a 39 mm. case as opposed to the 42.5 mm. version.

This highly unusual timepiece stands out by its daring design and its excellent like new overall condition.
