Minute repeating wristwatches are amongst the rarest specialties of 20th century watchmaking due to the extremely difficult task of reducing the size of the repeating mechanism to fit into a case of wearable proportions.

The present watch is a particularly appealing example, as it features an extremely refined 10 lignes movement, whereas the majority of vintage minute repeating wristwatches were fitted with movements generally sized 12 to 14 lignes. The typical late 1930s style dial finished in black lacquer and the lavish and classy case completed with teardrop lugs achieve an aesthetically most appealing appearance.
