etching with drypoint, circa 1639, without watermark, a very good, clear impression of the second state (of three), with hardly any wear in the densely worked areas, still printing with considerable burr and a light veil of tone in places, with small margins, a 35 mm. skilfully repaired tear in the upper left subject, with a few touches of pen and ink, the upper left margin and corner made up, with some pen and ink along the edge of the subject, the upper sheet edge at left and right probably with some hinging defects and partially reinforced, some very minor foxing, a few thin spots, otherwise in good condition
