With Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin dated 14 December 1994, Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with rose dial and 11 Breguet numerals in rose gold in 1993 and its subsequent sale on 31 August 1993. Furthermore delivered with brochure on Patek Philippe self-winding movements, veneered presentation box and outer packaging.

The present watch is number 7 of a limited edition of 150 examples made in 1993 to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the English crown jeweler Garrard The Crown Jewellers, one of Patek Philippe's distinguished retailers.

Fresh to the market it is believed to be the only sixth example of this model to appear in public to date.

Reference 3998 S, the commemorative special edition of reference 3998, is distinguished by the Breguet numerals as opposed to the applied baton numerals of the regular version.
