BERENICE ABBOTT (1898-1991)
THE COLLECTION OF MAX PALEVSKY After a career as a pioneer in the computer industry, Max Palevsky turned his attention to his other passions: venture capitalism, politics, philanthropy and the arts. His collecting was largely autodidactic and approached with equal measures of intellect and discipline. His taste in photographs, exemplified in the following seven lots plus lot 592, ranged from the rigors of the Bechers to the sensuality of an Outerbridge nude.
