MARKED K. FABERGÉ WITH THE IMPERIAL WARRANT, WITH THE WORKMASTER'S MARK OF ANDERS NEVALAINEN, ST PETERSBURG, 1899-1903, SCRATCHED INVENTORY NUMBER 4271 OR 9271
Rectangular with rounded corners, decorated overall with fanned reeding, the hinged cover applied with a part-enamelled silver coin depicting Empress Catherine II, surmounted by ribbon-tied laurel swags, with hinged vesta compartment, tinder cord with loop, and cabochon sapphire thumb-piece, the interior inscribed in French 'A Candé Les camarades et amis du théâtre Impérial Michel. 1903', in a silk and velvet lined fitted wood case stamped in Cyrillic 'Fabergé St Petersburg Moscow, Odessa.' beneath the Imperial warrant, marked inside cover and base, also with French import marks
