Zhang Fuxiang (1902-1991) was a native of Jiangsu, of quiet, contemplative nature and interested in antiques. Having lived in Shanghai for a long time, he was influenced by the Shanghai style of seal carving, studying seal carving from the Zhou and Qin dynasties up to his contemporaries.
