The 1893 Latour consumed at a recent dinner at the château had a beautiful light amber color and a bewitching aroma of dried flowers, tar, anise, and exotic spices on the nose. On the palate the wine had a fine, ethereal essence yet still retained a bit of the tannic structured that must have been formidable in its day.
