With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1926 and its subsequent sale on November 2 of the following year. The extract states the present watch was recased by Patek Philippe during a servicing in 1953.

To the best of our knowledge, this watch has never before been offered in public.

Patek Philippe produced the reference 652 from 1937 until approximately 1995. This model replaced the reference 651 and was later replaced itself by the reference 973. It was produced in yellow, white and pink gold as well as platinum.
