Recently closed after nearly two centuries of continuous operation, Galt & Brothers Jewelers was a prestigious Washington D.C. jewelry firm which counted many notable politicians as clients, including Abraham Lincoln. Upon her husband's death in 1908, Edith Galt took over management of the store and subsequently married President Woodrow Wilson in 1915.
