The Ann McKim was built by Kennard and Williamson of Baltimore for the Honorable Isaac McKim and launched in June 1833. She was the original clipper ship and at 493 tons she was initially employed on the South American run. In 1838, she established the best run of her career around the Horn by traveling from Coquimbo to Baltimore in 60 days. Later that year, she was engaged on the China run and was dismantled off the coast of China in 1852.
