Imran Qureshi's meteor is on the rise. This summer, he has been commissioned to create a site-specific work at the Roof Garden of the Metropolitan Museum in New York, which will be on view from May through November. Earlier this year, he was recognized with the Deutsche Bank Artist of the Year award for his outstanding works on paper that comment on the relationship between the West and the Islamic world. Qureshi's works are currently on view in a major solo exhibition that inaugurated the Deutsche Bank Kunsthalle, Berlin, through August.
