The watch and clockmaker Thomas Revillon of Mâcon, Saône-et-Loire, is noted in the 1828 Journal of the Franklin Institute for his sundry inprovements in striking the hours of public and private clocks as well as for a wine press, acting by means of a pendulum, and for the application of a pendulum to mechanics.
