For the arms see Dr. Jochem Kroes, Chinese Armorial Porcelain for the Dutch Market, The Hague, 2007, no. 59, p. 151, where the author informs us that this service was made for Daniel Tuineman (Tuneman or Tuijneman), who sailed to China in 1732-1733. See Lot 30 for a tea and coffee service of similar date and for the same family, but of slightly different design.
