邱志傑與藝術家群體(孫原& 彭禹、劉韡、張慧、朱昱、石青、王衛等)以“後感性”為群體名,針對90 年代早期英國YBA(年輕英國藝術家,如達明安.赫斯特、翠西.艾敏等)的感性傾向,大體在1999 開始的十年創作中執行的一種超越理性的方法論,“它沉浸在困惑、迷失、陶醉和感慨的層次而拒絕進行判斷。它是對事物的體驗,是從事物內部發現自己。後感性反對感性,因為它窮盡了分析、歸納、推理和假設,它是理性知識重新成為感覺與材料”(邱志傑《後感性》)。邱在創作《不安分的架上畫家》(Lot 5) 時將作品顛倒使料根據重力往不同方向流淌,手繪的迷彩背景中突兀的安置著幾個迷彩布現成品製作的衣袖,如果說顏料流淌的形式感讓人聯想到德國新表現主義藝術家巴塞里茲,而迷彩圖案則為繪畫產生的環境增加了一層現實維度2006、2007 前後邱志傑亦創作了另外一組迷彩畫和裝置作品《暴雨將至》參加紐約PERFORMA雙年展和日本越後妻有三年展,隱喻中國作為超級大國崛起給外部環境造成的恐慌。
