With Audemars Piguet Certificate of Origin and Guarantee dated December 1982, green leather pouch and outer packaging.

According to the Archives of Audemars Piguet, the present watch was manufactured in 1980 and sold in 1982.

The case of this watch consists of a United States of America Twenty Dollars gold coin "Double eagle, Coronet Head" from 1899. It is part of a series of three different United States of America Twenty Dollars gold coin watches including ref. 5610, 5610A (watch fitted on leather strap) and the present skeletonized model reference 5677 with a rotating system allowing to admire the movement.

Audemars Piguet have been using finest ultra-thin movements for their coin watches since at least 1926 when we find the first documentation about these timepieces. Skeletonized models, such as the present watch, are the rarest among all. Besides the classical United States of America 20 Dollars, the French Napoleon of 100 Francs and the Mexican 50 Pesos were also used.

Audemars Piguet released what appears to be their last series of coin watches to date in 1995 to celebrate the 120th Anniversary of the brand using a rare 20 dollars coin from 1875.
