拍品專文

'This work was made for the Art for McGovern campaign in 1972. One of the edition was donated by the artist to raise money for the presedential campaign; another was installed, as a gift, in Eleanor and Senator George McGovern's house in Washington, D.C., in May 1974.'
(M. Govan and T. Bell, Dan Flavin. The complete lights, 1961-1996, New Haven and London 2004, p. 311)

'I knew that the actual space of a room could be broken down and played with by planting illusions of real light (electric light) at crucial junctures in the room's composition. A piece of wall can be visually disintegrated from the whole.'
(Dan Flavin in 1965 quoted in J. Brox, Brilliant: The Evolution of Artificial Light, London 2010)
