拍品專文

“Sculpture is the way I engage with everything, everything as block, whether we are taking about literature, film, music, etc. I understand everything under a general rubric of dimensionality. Sculpture is also something that is there, the physicality inherent in nature. And finally the material presence; someone once said, and here I have to paraphrase: ‘materialist that I am, I’d prefer to owe it to my ass than to my ideas” (J. Matherly, 'Justin Matherly Interviewed by Howie Chen, Dispatch, September 2009, accessed via https://dispatchbureau.com/images/dispatch_bulletins/Dispatch1_JM.pdf).
