Shaped as a Guard Horse Grenadier Helmet, the front applied with an Imperial double-headed eagle with a distinction band inscribed in Russian ‘For capturing the city of Vratsa / 28 October 1877’, with chin scales and enamelled cockade in the colours of St George’s order, the silver comb oxidised, (St Andrew star missing), marked on base and ribbon, also with import marks
