Kawamata Tadashi (b. 1953)
These lots have been imported from outside the EU … 顯示更多 Responding to the extreme reduction of artistic manipulation of the Mono-ha movement in the 1970s, Kawamata's intensely interactive works address concepts of order and chaos. From his large-scale site-specific installations that envelop actual buildings with derelict lumber to more intimate interior constructions, Kawamata challenges the notion of stability by confronting the viewer with ordinary materials used in an extraordinary fashion. Aged 28 Kawamata Tadashi was selected to exhibit at the Venice Biennale and he has gone on to participate to high acclaim in other international exhibitions including Documenta and Art Basel. He is currently a professor of the École Nationale Supérierure des Beaux-Arts, Paris.Property of a Lady
