The matt black dial with luminous tritium hour markers, encircled 'T' indicating the presence of Tritium, luminous Tritium sword type hands and sweep centre seconds, 26 jewel movement, in three part case with polished plastic crystal, rotatable 15-minute calibrated bezel, screw-down case back and triplock crown, to later 'Rolex' bracelet with deployant clasp, together with the original military issue web straps, circa 1974, case 39mm
Please note that the lugs on this watch have been modified in order to fit a steel bracelet, consequently serial and reference numbers engraved between the lugs are no longer visible.

The Military Submariners were adapted following the specifications requested by the British Ministry of Defence as part of the equipment of some military corps. The watch cases were soldered with fixed bar lugs, the dials easily readable and equipped with 'sword'-type hands. They also had to show the international symbol for tritium - the encircled "T' for the presence of tritium in the luminescent coating of the hour markers. On the case back are a series of engraved markings 0552 corresponds to the British Ministry of Defence 923-7697 corresponds to the NATO code the broad arrow characterises all watches owned by the British Army 130 is the issue number and 74 indicates the issue year.
