The three books included in this lot present the broad range of production of Lomazzi during the period of 1941 until 1953. The books offer a fascinating insight into the world of watchmaking and design within this period. It also offers an important academic insight into the production costs of producing a case, in particular within the WW II era. From a design perspective, the hundreds of hand drawn watch designs seen within the registers’ pages show watches made for a wide variety of watch and jewelry companies, notably including Rolex, Cartier, and Omega. The designs are mostly for ladies’ wristwatches and the majority for the celebrated houses Boucheron and Mauboussin.

This set of registry books was last sold at auction April 2, 2000 at Antiquorum Geneva and sold for 18,400 Swiss francs.
