Cal. 7736 mechanical movement, 17 jewels, white matte dial, applied luminous baton numerals, luminous hands, central blue chronographic seconds hand, outer five minutes blue combined with fifth of a second black divisions, three black sunken beveled engine-turned subsidiary dials for constant seconds and 30 minutes and 12 hours registers, tonneau-shaped water-resistant-type case, bidirectional revolving bezel with tachymetre scale graduated to 400 units per hour, screw back, two chronograph buttons in the band, case, dial and movement signed

This design of Heuer Autavia is named in honour of Joseph “Jo” Siffert, the Swiss Formula 1 driver. Siffert was in fact one of the first drivers sponsored by Heuer, he was paid 25,000 Swiss Francs for displaying the Heuer logo on his race suit. According to legend, it was Jo Siffert who suggested to Steve McQueen that he wear a Heuer Monaco.
