Born in a family of watchmakers, Daniel Roth initially worked and perfected his skills as a watchmaker for Audemars Piguet in Le Brassus. Later joining the struggling manufacture Breguet, Daniel Roth was able through his 14 years within the company to revitalize the brand by redesigning and reintroducing complications such as the perpetual calendar or the tourbillon.
With the experience gained from both manufactures, Daniel Roth decided in 1989 to launch his own brand, with the ambition of creating innovative and highly complicated wristwatches. Later purchased by the Tay family, owners of The Hour Glass, and then by Bulgari, Daniel Roth ceased his involvement with the brand but left a strong imprint on the design and identity of the wristwatches.
Offered in pristine condition, the present tourbillon wristwatch is furthermore crafted with a glazed display dial to the case back, showcasing the date ring as well as an aperture for the 8 day power reserve.
