Harry Winston was not just a jeweler. Coveted by many, owned by a select few, the name Harry Winston evokes a passion for perfection and extraordinary luxury.
Succeeding his father in 1978, Ronald Winston always cultivated a passion for high-end horology. With the ambition to create a line of watches for the jewelry house, Winston hired Maximilian Busser in 1988, a Swiss national who spent the previous 7 years at Jaeger-LeCoultre. By creating the Opus collection in 2001, both Winston and Busser established the reputation of Harry Winston in haute horologerie and captivated the attention of serious watch collectors.
Diverging from watch manufacturers with centuries of history, Harry Winston, through the Opus series, partners with talented watchmakers to produce extremely rare and innovative timepieces. Pushing the boundaries of haute horlogerie to new heights, each of the Opus timepiece is radically different, through is conception, mechanism or aesthetic.
The Harry Winston Opus X, was created in association with watchmaker Jean-Francois Mojon. Groundbreaking, the present timepiece takes inspiration from planetary movements. Instead of a traditionally fixed dial and watch hands, the time is displayed through three modules, mounted on a revolving frame. In order to keep their orientations, each module will rotate inversely to the main frame. Further to the time indication, the wristwatch provides a 24 hour indication through the outer ring of the dial and a linear power reserve to the case back.
Futuristic and appealing, the present Opus X timepiece is offered in excellent overall condition, with all its accessories.
