"[Le carré concentrique] est une image d'une puissance picturale sans équivalent. Il est si parfait que vous pouvez l'utiliser, en abuser et même le déconstruire jusqu'au point de l'ignorer. Il possède une force presque indestructible - du moins pour moi. C'est un don, et il m'est très difficile de ne pas le peindre. C'est une image parfaite avant même de commencer et il est assez difficile de la faire exploser."
