Coming into its own in the Roaring Twenties, Seaman Schepps created avant-garde jewellery using gemstones cut as cabochons, hardstones as well as organic materials such as shells, ivory and wood, attracting a wide range of clients. One of its most recognizable design is the ‘Turbo Shell’ earring, a shell set with colourful gemstones and mounted in gold, which became a must-have for fashionistas around the world, such as the Duchess of Windsor.
