drypoint, on Japon paper, circa 1916, a good impression of Hofmaier's second (final) state with strong burr, signed, titled and dated '1917' in pencil, from the edition of 40 before steel-facing (there was also an edition of 60 on laid paper after steel-facing), published by Verlag der Marées Gesellschaft, R. Piper & Co , Munich, 1919, with their blindstamp, with full margins, in good condition
