RAMONET-PRUDHON AND WHITE BURGUNDY
Selected by Steven Spurrier in 1973 for the historic Judgment of Paris wine competition, Domaine Ramonet-Prudhon has a high acclaim in the wine world. The story starts with Pierre Ramonet, an unquestioned star producer of Burgundy. Ramonet started putting his passion into the land at the beginning of 1930, when he purchased a vineyard that was of Chassagne-Montrachet. From here the vineyard only grew from strength to strength in terms of acclaim and quality of wines produced. For some time the wine was sold as Domaine Ramonet-Prudhon, after Pierre Ramonet married Lucie Prudhon, as this lot is named. The current total plot is 17 hectares and since 1984 has been run by grandsons Noël and Jean-Claude Ramonet.

Domaine Leflaive, Puligny Montrachet Clavoillon 1979
Damaged capsule. Bin-soiled, stained and damaged label and neck label. Excellent colour. Level: 4cm (1)
Meursault Poruzots 1972 Tasting Note: Pale gold colour. Unfurls with time in the glass revealing hints of tangerine peel, roasted hazelnuts, nuances of caramel and very subtle butterscotch and buttered toast with hints of dried apricots and a lovely mineral flinty chalky note, very surprising in a 1972. Lively on the palate with intense citrus flavours and mouth-watering acidity. Long finish. Drinking well and amazingly fresh and zingy on the palate. 92. Now-2030. Tasted September 2021.
