Réalisé en 1949, cet exceptionnel panneau de Robert Pansart est présenté lors de l’Exposition Universelle à Bruxelles de 1958. Il témoigne de toute la maîtrise technique du verrier français ainsi que de sa foisonnante imagination, rappelant par ses figures et sa tonalité Guernica de Picasso (1937). En 1967, l’artiste offre l’œuvre à Stanislas Konior - décorateur sur glace dans son atelier - à l’occasion de son départ à la retraite. L’œuvre restera dans la famille de ce dernier jusqu’à nos jours.
Made in 1949, this exceptional panel by Robert Pansart was presented at the 1958 Universal Exhibition in Brussels. It embodies the technical mastery of the French glassmaker as well as his abundant imagination, reminiscing by its figures and its tone Picasso's Guernica (1937). In 1967, the artist offered the work to Stanislas Konior – glass decorator in his studio - on the occasion of his retirement. The work remained in his family to this day.
