CARTIER
The 1920s and 1930s are synonymous with timeless elegance. The use of platinum in jewellery making at the beginning of the 20th century allowed for more freedom in design. It was highly appreciated for its beauty and durability. At the time of the creation of this jewel, platinum had only been used in jewellery for approximately fifteen years; but Cartier’s workshop, one of the finest in Paris, had already mastered the technique.
