Tania Mouraud est une artiste emblématique de la scène contemporaine française dont le travail peut être considéré comme un questionnement lucide de notre monde, de son histoire et de son vivant. Son expression est multiforme et continue sans cesse de se réinventer : l’artiste use le plus souvent de la photographie, du son, de la vidéo associés à la peinture. Brouillant les frontières, les techniques se révèlent parfois difficilement reconnaissables. Sa série photographique Borderland capture ainsi des paysages illusoires à la frontière des mouvements et des lumières d’une peinture impressionniste et ce, sans aucune modification. Son travail a été présenté à la galerie Dominique Fiat durant la FIAC 2008, et a fait l’objet en 2017 d’une rétrospective au Centre Pompidou-Metz.
Tania Mouraud is an emblematic artist of the French contemporary scene whose work can be considered as a lucid questioning of our world, its history and its life. Her expression is multiform and continues to reinvent itself: the artist most often uses photography, sound and video in combination with painting. Blurring the boundaries, the techniques sometimes prove difficult to recognise. Her photographic series Borderland captures illusory landscapes at the border of the movements and lights of an impressionist painting, without any modification. Her work was presented at the Dominique Fiat Gallery during the FIAC 2008 and was the subject of a retrospective at the Centre Pompidou-Metz in 2017.
