As the moniker suggests, the “Zenith” Daytona is coveted by watch collectors due to the special movement utilized by Rolex. Caliber 4030 found within Reference 16519 is a heavily modified automatic chronograph movement based on Zenith’s El Primero Caliber 4030. Over 200 modifications were completed on the El Primero based caliber in order to meet the exceptional standards of excellence from Rolex.

The case and deployant clasp are constructed of 18k white gold. At first glance, the dial is a standard white, but the concentrically engraved silver registers sparkle in direct sunlight. The hands and hour markers are also made of 18k white gold. “DAYTONA” is written in red above the hour chronograph register, paying tribute to early manual-winding Rolex Daytona’s.
