Maria 'Sao' Schlumberger (1929-2007), was a celebrated artistic figure in Europe who combined close friendships with Andy Warhol, Cy Twombly, Man Ray, Max Ernst, Yves Klein, François-Xavier and Claude Lalanne alongside the Rothschild and the Kennedys.
