Reference 5960 was first introduced by Patek Philippe in 2006 and was a major milestone for the firm as the reference featured the manufacturer’s first ever in-house self-winding annual calendar chronograph movement. The reference quickly grasped the attention of collectors and became one of the most popular timepieces of the manufacture.
Encompassing the Patek Philippe in-house caliber CH28-520 IRM QA 24H made of 456 parts, the timepiece features through its dial a day, date and month aperture, a power reserve display and subsidiary dial for the chronograph function with a day and night indicator.
The present 5960P with blue dial was discontinued in 2014 and replaced by the stainless steel version 5960/1A.
