Marysol Nieves comes to Christie’s with a wealth of academic experience, having served as a curator for various world renowned institutions. Prior to joining Christie’s, Marysol was an independent curator and art consultant working with a number of museums, corporate collections, and individual clients, including the Bronx Museum of the Arts in New York, the FEMSA Collection in Monterrey, Mexico; the Museo de Arte de Ponce and the Dorado Beach Resort (the latter two in Puerto Rico). In addition to working independently, she has held various positions in the art field, including specialist in the Latin American Art Department at Sotheby’s, Curator of Contemporary Art at Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico in San Juan, Director of Visual Arts at the Americas Society, New York; and Senior Curator at the Bronx Museum of the Arts, New York.
Marysol holds a Master of Arts in 20th Century & Contemporary Art History and Criticism from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
