Izabela Grocholski

Izabela joins Christie’s with a decade of experience in the art world. She was director of the Jan Krugier Gallery for a period of three years, and worked with the gallery for seven. Having lived in Poland for four years she worked at the Zacheta National Gallery of Art, where she assisted in the preparation of the centenary exhibition Warszawa-Moskwa/Moskwa- Warszawa 1900-2000, initiated by Zacheta’s director Anda Rottenberg, with the support of the Adam Mickiewicz Institute and the State Tretyakov Gallery.
Izabela, who has a degree in art history and political science from McGill University, interned during her studies in the Drawings Department of the Museum of Modern Art, New York. Her former roles include working for the United Nations as a media liaison, and performing a similar role in the Unia & Polska Foundation in Warsaw, a driving force in Poland’s accession to the EU.
