21st Century Evening Sale

Christie’s New York is excited to present the 21st Century Evening Sale — a keystone live auction in our November 20th/21st Century Art sale series. Tracing the historic shifts at the end of the 20th century to the visions of today’s defining creators, no other sale more vividly captures the art of our moment: where we are, how we got here and where we’re going next. The highlight works in this season are a late Bachhus series masterpiece from Cy Twombly, a groundbreaking early masterpiece by Jean-Michel Basquiat, and a magnificent calligraphic Brice Marden from Tivoli. These greats will be considered alongside the work of contemporary pioneers such as Reggie Burrows Hodges, Ilana Savdie, Sanya Kantarovsky and Stefanie Heinze.
