American Art

Christie's May 23rd sale of American Art features a strong selection of works from the 19th through mid-20th century.  Highlights span from Hudson River School and Impressionism to Modernism and Illustration art, including masterworks such as Edward Hopper’s magnificent oil,  Blackwell’s Island and watercolor, Kelly Jenness House, Childe Hassam’s In a French Garden, Norman Rockwell’s Starstruck, Andrew Wyeth’s Heat Lightning, Georgia O’Keeffe’s My Back Yard and, from the Andy Williams collection, Milton Avery’s Musicians.
