Christie's sales of Modern and Contemporary Art in Milan totaled €9,643,000 / £7,724,043 / $12,044,107, the highest result achieved by the category in Italy since November 2008.

Alberto Burri's Plastica, 1962, Leads Sale At €1,482,800 / £1,187,722 / $1,852,017, establishing a record auction price for the artist in Italy.

Alberto Burri led the sale, resulting in the highest price achieved by the artist at auction in Italy, while numerous works by Fontana, de Chirico and Capogrossi exceeded expectations, demonstrating a growing demand for the most exceptional paintings by Italian 20th century art”.
