Important Jewels

Christie’s Important Jewels sale offers a selection of antique and modern pieces, ranging from the 17th century through the 19th century to the present day, with signed pieces by Buccellati, Bulgari, Van Cleef & Arpels and Hermès. As well as our traditional section devoted to Cartier, which features wristwatches, Art Deco jewels and diamond rings, the sale’s highlights include a group of Art Nouveau jewels by René Lalique – featuring a striking beetle corsage ornament – a pair of fine Georgian diamond earrings, and a rare natural coloured pearl necklace exhibiting brilliant hues of grey. Among our selection of unheated sapphires is a 54 carat cushion shaped pendant as well as other stones from Kashmir, Burma and Ceylon.
