Thinking Italian Milan

Following our success in 2018, Christie’s Milan continues to offer the very best of 20th-century Italian art in 2019, with our rebranded flagship sale Thinking Italian Milan taking place on 3 & 4 April. Presenting international collectors with a tightly curated selection of pioneering Italian artists, the auction showcases the variety and scope of Italian art in the 20th century, from the futurist (Gino Severini) to the figurative (Morandi, Tozzi, Oppi), and from post-war icons (Burri, Fontana) and Informalists (Dorazio, Accardi) to more contemporary artists such as Gino De Dominicis. 
 
A selection of these works will tour to the MAXXI Museum in Rome on 15 March and then to Turin on 20 March, before the full sale exhibition in Milan from 29 March - 2 April.

Dopo il successo del 2018, Christie’s Milano continua ad offrire il meglio dell’arte italiana del XX secolo anche nel 2019, con il nuovo brand Thinking Italian Milan e due vendite il 3 e il 4 di aprile. Presentandosi ai collezionisti internazionali con una selezione accurata di artisti pionieri dell’arte italiana, l’asta si propone di mostrare la varietà e la portata dell’arte italiana del XX secolo, a partire dal futurismo (Gino Severini), passando dal figurativo (Morandi, Tozzi, Oppi) fino ad arrivare alle icone dell’arte post bellica (Burri, Fontana) e informale (Dorazio, Accardi), fino ad artisti più contemporanei come Gino De Dominicis.

Una selezione di queste opere sarà esposta al Museo MAXXI di Roma il 15 marzo e successivamente a Torino il 20 marzo, prima dell’ esposizione completa a Milano che si terrà dal 29 marzo fino al 2 aprile.
