Christie’s Design sale returns this November to our Paris saleroom, presenting 200 works spanning over six exciting themes. Art Déco creations by master sculptors Jan and Joël Martel coming from the family of the artists will be offered alongside an historic group of works by Jean-Michel Frank and Alberto Giacometti originally commissioned by the Born family in 1939. An exceptional set by Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand created/executed for the Pluet-Mezzara family for their Île-de-Bréhat house in Brittany, will also be presented with five U.A.M. masterpieces, including Madeleine Vionnet personal unique display bookcase by Boris Lacroix. Rounding this striking selection, one of the most important Agathon Léonard collection in the world assembled by German collector Ingelore Böstge will be offered alongside a curated ensemble of pieces by Alberto and Diego Giacometti coming from the Matisse, Susse, and the Alicia Moï collections among many more.

Please be advised Christie’s offices will be closed starting December 20, 2019 and will re-open on January 2, 2020. To receive your property before our offices close, please be aware of the following deadlines:

For international shipments, full and clear payment of both principal and shipping must be received by December 11, 2019. For domestic shipments, full and clear payment of both principal and shipping must be received by December 13, 2019.

If your shipment is unable to be booked by these dates, we will be happy to hold your property in storage and help make shipping arrangements in the new year.
