Sale Overview

The Modern British Evening Sale on the 1 March includes a wonderful selection of works by leading 20th Century British artists, such as Ben Nicholson, L.S. Lowry, Howard Hodgkin, John Lavery, Jack Butler Yeats, Michael Andrews, Leon Kossoff and many more. The sale includes three outstanding paintings by Sir Winston Churchill, never offered for auction before, from the collections of the Trustees Of Viscount Montgomery’s Will Trust, the descendants of Mr S.S. Bond and the Jolie Family Collection. Highlights of the sale include works from a number of prestigious private collections, including property from Charles Delevingne, Jeremy Lancaster, the late Clodagh Waddington and the estates of L.S. Lowry and Carol Ann Lowry. There is a focus on sculptures from Modern British masters, including artist’s such as Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth, William Turnbull, Lynn Chadwick and Barry Flanagan, from private collections, such as The Foundation Mireille And James Lévy.
