The New York December Magnificent Jewels sale offers an elegant curation of over 200 lots, highlighted by renowned private collections, noteworthy diamonds and colored gemstones, and an impressive assemblage of important signed jewels by makers including Aldo Cipullo, Asprey, Bulgari, Cartier, Carvin French, Chanel, Chopard, Graff, Harry Winston, Jean Schlumberger, Marchak, Marcus & Co., Mauboussin, Oscar Heyman & Brothers, Paul Flato, Suzanne Belperron, Tiffany & Co., Van Cleef & Arpels, and Verdura.  This sale presents an array of prominent private collections, curated over time with preference for top quality diamonds and colored stones, and remarkable signed jewels.  Further highlights include diamond necklaces worn at the 71^st and 72^nd Academy Awards by Sophia Loren and Hilary Swank, respectively, and a historic 17^th century emerald bead rosary, previously belonging to the Saxon Royal Family.  Rounding out the sale are contemporary jewels by leading houses such as Etcetera and JAR.
