Fine and Rare Wines

Sale Overview

Christie's Wine Department is delighted to present a classic and gorgeously curated sale on 11 May at the Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues in Geneva, as part of Luxury Week. Collections of Bordeaux, including all the First Growth Châteaux are offered. Two cases of Château Haut-Brion 1989, which is a seminal vintage for the estate, and Château Lafite-Rothschild 1989 are amongst the stellar lots this season. Alongside these collections, rarities such as Petrus 1987 in imperial are presented, and bottles of Château Cheval-Blanc 1921, recently discovered in a closed-off part of a wine cellar, will grace our rostrum, 100 years after they were bottled. The finest wines of French regions are on offer, with Krug Clos du Mesnil 1979 leading a selection of rare 1980s vintages of Krug. Burgundy is represented by the best estates, with various sublime vintages and two rare assortment cases of the fabled Romanée-Conti. From the steep banks of the Mosel bottles to Egon Müller's Scharzhofberger Beerenauslese, we look forward to taking you through this extraordinary edit and welcoming you to our Geneva saleroom this May.
