Christie's Wine Department are delighted to present a stellar auction to close the 2021 sale season. The auction truly showcases some of the finest and rarest items in the market today is both broad and deep. The sale offers an extraordinary range of wines and spirits, from recent vintages of First Growth Bordeaux and Grand Cru Burgundy, through to the legendary Springbank 1919 50 Year Old whisky, and ancient Madeira reaching back through time to 1720. Christie's is honoured to work directly with the team at Perrier-Jouët to present a collection of champagnes which span a period of almost 150 years, right back to the legendary 1874 vintage. 

 

We are particularly pleased to present the First Evening Sale of Wine in London - Treasures from a Rediscovered Chalk Cellar. This is a remarkable collection, which comes with superb provenance, and includes a dizzying array of finest Burgundy and Claret from the 1950-1970s. Highlights include 1971 La Tâche, 1971 Romanée-Conti, and previously unopened cases of Romanee-Conti 1990.

The sale also offers rarest Macallan, Ardross whisky in cask and Madeira and Sherry covering three centuries.
